For over 40 years Steve Mark, Rebecca Mark Bernfeld, Tim Campbell and the team at SMI Construction Management Inc. have specialized in construction management of high-end residential and commercial projects in Manhattan. Completed projects range in size from 2,000 to 35,000 square feet with budgets ranging into the tens of millions. Several can be made available for viewing upon your request.

We encourage you to see projects in various stages of completion. Apartments and townhouses under construction demonstrate our efficient job site management, newly completed homes show a variety of finishes and architectural details and most importantly, older projects which demonstrate durability.

Perhaps our greatest asset is found in our references. Among the trade references you will find architects, designers, engineers and consultants who will confirm that we deal at the highest levels of professionalism and integrity, always in the interests of all parties involved. Client references will attest to our ability to meet schedules and budget goals. The repeat business and second-generation work over the years speaks for itself.

We operate from a 10,000 square foot warehouse, millwork shop, and office facility in the Bronx. This enables us to accumulate and prepare materials in advance of delivery and maintain a more orderly job site. Our project management staff works out of our East 78th Street office which is within walking distance of many of our projects.

Past and current projects include over 50 historic townhouse gut-renovations ranging in size up to 35,000 square feet including façade restoration, excavation as deep as 30’ in bed bedrock, swimming pools, sports courts and landscaping. We have completed over 150 apartments ranging up to 15,000 square feet.
